Nate and Mary — Reflections

A southern blues single from a duo digging back into their roots, with rebellious attitude to spare.

On 'Reflections', Nate and Mary get back to their roots with a real southern blues feel and an undeniable rebellious streak. The title is literal — looking back at what you've lived through and finding the beauty in it — and the song carries that weight without ever turning maudlin.

The guitars rock, the rhythm section grooves, and the vocal trade-off between the two of them gives the track its character. The arrangement is loose in the right way: a band feeling each other out in real time rather than chasing a click.

A warm, gritty piece of blues rock that knows exactly where it came from.

It's the kind of release that earns its space in a rotation, not because it's loud about itself, but because the writing, the performance, and the mood all line up and pull in the same direction.
