A lush, emotionally driven R&B-pop EP with inventive production and a vocal performance oozing soul.

A new EP release from Caroll-Ann brings out any men's and Powerful set of songs that are emotionally driven and walk a fine line between R&B and pop with an incredibly lush soundscape and an inventive production style that gives the songs a sort of edge that you don't hear often.

The Nights Alone EP brandishes a number of unique approaches in the artist's songwriting style and each one stands on its own two feet as a single however, being able to soak in this EP as a whole is really what it's meant for.

There are elements about this record that feel almost like it's a concept album of sorts where the songs have a way of interconnecting with each other and throughout it all you have such an impactful vocal delivery that's just oozing with soul.

There is a lot of elements of this release that are completely undeniable and one of the most important ones is that the entire thing is genuine and comes from authentic places so you have that realness throughout the record and because of that, you are able to relate to the songs very well.

These are the kinds of things that you don't get all that often and most genres of music but this is a bright crossover of genre-blending and it's done with heart and passion.

The aspect of escapism that the EP boasts is really cool as well because when it's over you have to sort of reacclimate yourself back to your own reality again because you just get into someone else's world for a little bit.

You get taken to her world and that in itself makes the record worth listening to.

There are a lot of surprises behind the corners of this release and these particular sorts of climaxes or explosive bursts that come in when you don't expect them.
